I want to be able to easily adjust scrollbar width in browser and OS settings

This idea is currently being discussed.

I want to be able to adjust the width of scrollbars through browser settings or operating system accessibility/display settings — without having to install a third-party theme or hunt through obscure configuration files.

Scrollbars on modern browsers and operating systems have become very thin. For users who have difficulty with fine motor control or precision pointing, a narrow scrollbar is genuinely hard to grab with a mouse cursor. I often struggle to click the scrollbar because it is so narrow, yet there is currently no straightforward option in Windows display settings or in any major browser's settings panel to simply make scrollbars wider.

Forcing me to install a third-party display theme or run platform-specific scripts just to make scrollbars usable is not an acceptable accessibility story. Scrollbar sizing should be a first-class accessibility option — surfaced directly in system display settings or browser accessibility preferences — so that anyone who needs wider scrollbars can get them in a couple of clicks.
